Deleting a site

If a customer cancels their subscription, you can delete their site if your role is either Partner operations agent or Sage operations agent.

Note: If you're a Sage business partner, and your customer's site was created in a Sage-managed Azure subscription, contact Sage to have the site deleted. These steps apply to you if you created the customer's site using your own Azure subscription.

  1. Click Dashboard | Site Dashboard and then click the relevant site name.
  2. Make sure the site has a Ready status.
  3. In the Operations area, click Suspend. The databases are still live and you can resume the site if necessary.

You can also stop the site rather than suspending it.

  4. After the site status changes to Suspended, click Shelve. Databases are exported to a file and stored, and the subscription is canceled. You can unshelve the site if you want to recover customer or site data.
  5. After the site status changes to Shelved, click Delete. The site cannot be recovered from the portal.

Note: For Sage 200 Standard, you must stop and then delete a site. For all other products, you must suspend, shelve, and then delete a site.

For more information, see Performing actions to change the site status.
