Setting up your Azure subscription for Sage Partner Cloud

To set up your Azure subscription in the Sage Provisioning Portal, you must assign your subscription to your partner account and then give Sage permission to manage your subscription. You'll need your Azure subscription ID to complete these steps.

Before setting up your subscription in the Sage Provisioning Portal, you must first set it up using Azure Lighthouse. If you have questions on that process, see your Cloud Solutions Provider.

You'll also need the email that you received from Sage asking you to register your Sage ID.

Assign your Azure subscription

To assign your Azure subscription to your partner account in the Sage Provisioning Portal:

  1. Open the email from Sage with the Register your Sage ID link and then click the link.
  2. Sign in using your Sage ID (your email address).

If your email address isn't set up as a Sage ID, you'll be asked to create an account. Enter and confirm your password.

  3. You should receive an email with a verification code. Enter the code and then click Continue.

You'll be signed into the Sage Provisioning Portal where you'll see your partner account details.

  4. In the Subscriptions section, click Assign subscription.
  5. In the new subscription window, enter the following:
    • Identifier: your Azure subscription ID
    • Name: a name to identify the subscription
    • Region: the area in which the resources will be deployed
  6. Click Save.

Your Azure subscription is assigned to your account. You'll receive a confirmation email that contains additional steps. You can complete the process of setting up your subscription by either following the steps in the email or the ones in the next section.

Give Sage permission to manage your Azure subscription

By downloading the necessary files and running a script, you'll grant delegated management permissions for your Azure subscription to Sage.

  1. On your partner details page in the Subscriptions panel, locate your subscription.
  2. Click the Download files button (Download button) in the Actions column. A ZIP file is downloaded to your computer.
  3. Unzip the file.
  4. Run the script in PowerShell:
    1. Go to https://portal.azure.com/ and sign in using the Administrator credentials for your Azure subscription.
    2. Click the Directory + Subscription button on the toolbar, and select the directory and your subscription.
    3. Click the Cloud Shell button, and then select PowerShell.
    4. Click Confirm to switch to PowerShell in Cloud Shell.
    5. In the PowerShell window, click the Upload/Download files button and then click Upload.
    6. Browse to the files that you unzipped and then click Open to upload them.

Important! You must upload both files separately.

    7. At the PowerShell command prompt, enter dir to confirm that both files have been uploaded.
    8. At the command prompt, enter the following: ./DelegatedResourceManagement-subscriptionid.ps1 but replace subscriptionid with your Azure subscription ID.
    9. Enter Y to confirm and continue. After the configuration process is completed, you'll be returned to the command prompt.
    10. Return to the Azure portal and go to the Service providers offers section. Sage should be listed.

Caution! If Sage is not listed, do not proceed. Contact your Certified Solutions Provider or Sage Support for assistance.

  5. Return to the partner details screen in the Sage Provisioning Portal.
  6. In the Subscriptions panel, in the Actions column, click the Setup Subscription button.
  7. Review the information on the subscription setup screen and then click Accept.

In the Subscriptions panel, your subscription status changes to Setting Up. The process may take up to an hour to complete.

You will receive an email when your subscription is ready to use, and the status will change to Ready.
