Scheduling a site software update

You can schedule an operation to update software on one or more sites in the future, or to update software on many sites immediately.

  1. Click Management | Scheduled Operations.
  2. Click New Task.
  3. Select UpdateVersion from Operation.
  4. Select the product to be updated.
  5. To find the site or sites that you want to update, enter site filter criteria and click the Search icon Search icon. Select the sites from the list of search results.
  6. Select the software version to be installed from Version.
  7. To schedule a future update:
    1. Click Scheduled date and select a date from the date picker.
    2. Select the hour and 15 minute segment time at which the update will occur. The current UTC date and time are displayed for reference.
  8. To update the software immediately, select Update sites now.
  9. To ensure that a site is updated even if users are working with the application, select Force update sites. When the update is triggered, the Provisioning Engine signs out all users working with the application and updates the site. If you do not select Force update sites and users are working with the application when the update is triggered, the site is not updated.
  10. To send an email to the first contact of all customers affected by the scheduled update operation, select Send notification email.
  11. Click Save and Yes.
