Replicating a site

You can create a new Sage 300 site based on an existing one using the Replicate operation. The new site can be created using a newer version of Sage 300; therefore, this tool can be useful when upgrading a customer to a new version.

The new site uses the following items from the original site:

  • Data disk
  • Databases
  • Extra databases
  • Extra SQL servers (only if they contain a database)
  • Users

Note: Logins for any extra SQL servers are not replicated because SPP does not store the passwords.

To replicate a Sage 300 site:

  1. Click Dashboard | Site Dashboard.
  2. Click the site Name.
  3. In the Operations panel, click Replicate .
  4. In the Replicate Site window, enter the name of the new site and select which version of Sage 300 to use.
  5. Click Replicate.

You will receive an email when the process is complete. An audit entry is created for tracking purposes.
